About the Artist: Trevor Campbell

Trevor Campbell is an emerging artist based in South Australia. His Life long love for the Australian countryside is reflected in his work. Having been told since school days he could not paint at age 73 he thought he would prove them wrong.

Trevor endeavors to capture details, from the rough bark of a solitary eucalyptus to the blush of wildflowers swaying in the breeze. His use of acrylics brings a clarity and richness to the scene, with layers of translucent washes building into textures you can almost reach out and touch.

Techniques and Materials

Acrylic paint is the perfect medium for Trevor’s vision—its rapid drying time and versatility allow for brushwork and subtle layering.
